Production Machine Shop is the functional area responsible for turning raw materials into finished goods through a series of differentiated processes. The outcome of this department determines the customer satisfaction index directly and includes rapid decision making, thoughtful man management, robust planning and seamless execution
Expectations:
Provide Solutions to Issues related to Quality, Productivity and Budget. Look for best alternatives of the existing processes, raw materials and manpower. Incumbent will utilize his expertise to support sales department in manufacturing similar products. Work along with NPD that helps in expansion into new categories and products. Create Systems and processes that will meet the objective of FTR(First Time Right), Cost parameters and OTIF(On Time In Full delivery) benchmarks. Continuous improvements in the processes and manufacturing technologies for a better and faster finished goods. Incumbent is an Organization Leader who will lead, inspire and coach the teams that he is responsible for.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Planning and organising production schedules
• Assessing project and resource requirements
• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
• Determining quality control standards
• Overseeing production processes
• Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary
• Selecting, ordering, and purchasing materials information to concern timely
• Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
• Liaising with buyers and marketing and sales staff
• Supervising the work of junior staff
• Organising relevant training sessions
Prerequisites and Qualifications:
• 10+ year’s relevant experience in process preferable in Machine Shop
